In the framework of visiting meetings of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an expanded meeting of the Academic Council of the Khorezm Academy of Mamun was held. At the Academic Council, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician B.S. Yuldashev gave a speech informing that on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, great changes have occurred in the system of the Academy of Sciences. In particular, 12 institutes that were previously transferred to higher educational institutions were returned to the Academy of Sciences. A number of new research institutes were opened, the material and technical base was updated, centers equipped with modern devices were created, major repairs of the institutes' buildings were carried out. Since 2020, all the institutions of the Academy of Sciences have switched to basic budget financing, which will create new opportunities for scientists and, in particular, young scientists who are involved in promising areas of science.
The academic secretary of the Khorezm Academy Mamuna D.R.Ruzmetov in his speech spoke about the main articles of the adopted Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On science and scientific activity” and noted its importance for the establishment of the legal status and the important role of science and scientific activity in the socio-economic development of the country .
The report on the activities of the Khorezm Academy of Mamun in 2019 was made by the Chairman of the Khorezm Academy, Professor I.I. Abdullaev. He reported on the results and achievements of scientists, as well as long-term plans for the development of scientific activities of the Mamun Academy.
