29-30 October of this year a working meeting was held between representatives of the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Physics of the Earth, Russian Academy of Sciences, JSC Avtomenergoproekt and the State Unitary Enterprise UzGASHKLITI.
The theme of the meeting was to discuss the results of seismotectonic, seismological studies in the area where the competitive sites of nuclear power plants are located and the plan for detailed seismotectonic, seismological and engineering-seismological studies to justify the construction of nuclear plants in Uzbekistan.
